RUN A MARATHON AND HELP GIVE GIRLS A CHANCE!

Hello, and welcome to my Marathon fundraising page for Girls Education Collaborative!

I'm running my first Marathon on October 15 to fundraise $1,500 to help send one girl to the Kitenga School for Girls!

Imagine you are a 12-year-old girl in a very rural village in Tanzania called Kitenga. For you and your neighbors, there is no electricity or clean water. There are few roads and even fewer decent schools.  If you’re allowed to go to one of these schools, the commute is long and unsafe. 

But all of this pales in comparison to the ultimate barrier—the likelihood that you will be a victim to one of your community’s destructive traditions: female genital mutilation followed by being sold into marriage, usually for cows. This story is all too familiar and real for many girls across the globe right now.

Please help me raise $1,500 to give a girl a chance to be whom she wants to be by giving to this incredible organization that is breaking down barriers to quality, safe and holistic education for girls everywhere.
